"The fabulous Supersets will be providing the main musical event after the switch-on. This young Rock and Party band are fantastic (see and hear them at www.myspace.com/thesupersets).

They did a great set at Stone’s Music Festival in the summer, are in demand for gigs all over the UK and Europe and are kindly appearing for Stone Town.

As usual the event starts at 5.30p.m. with the ever popular Stone Schools Christmas Choir and leading up to switch-on there will be entertainment from up and coming singer Samantha Lloyd, The Nuvo Tots Dance Troupe and, new to switch-on night, The Spire Music and Arts School.

Santa will be on stage just before 7.00p.m. and resident compere Dave Smithwick will lead the audience in a rousing countdown to switch-on.

Add to this the Fun Fair in the Square, Fast Food, Late Shopping and Stone’s famous Cafes Pubs and Restaurants and a great family night out is guaranteed"
